The boat Auður in the North Atlantic Row has arrived in Iceland

On May 17th 2013 The North Atlantic Row with the boat Auður launched their journey from Kristiansand Norway towards Iceland, via Scotland, and The Faroe Islands. They were not able to finish theyr trip last year because of bad weather conditions. On the 25th of May this year they started their jorney again.

For real-time tracking of Auður, they used Trackwell GPS locator system that transmited their location with great accuracy.

On May 30th Auður arrived in Iceland. She is in port in Höfn. After three years of preparation and hard work, this crazy idea they had became a reality. And now its in the record books.

“At this moment our hearts are filled with pride and thanks to our families and also the generosity of our sponsors who made this possible.” -the crew says.
