TrackWell has signed major agreement with Greater Reykjavik Transport (GRT), to develop web and mobile system handling real-time information for passengers as well as managers at GRT.

The initial service will be launched in three phases. The first phase is to develop a journey planner for the GRT web that provides users with detailed information on how to get from A to B in shortest time. The second phase is to make the journey planner available for the passengers via SMS queries from mobile phones. In the third phase the location of each bus will be available in real-time both via web and mobile phones. In addition to the bus's location the passenger can request information on the actual arrival time of the bus to the passenger's bus stop. This state of the art service is based on TracScape, the fleet management system from TrackWell.

GRT and TrackWell will also explore other possibilities of services and games for passengers, to make the journey more pleasant and entertaining.

TrackWell has extensive knowledge in creating reliable real-time monitoring systems and map presentation for the web as well as a vast experience in mobile services, both location-enabled and other value-added services.
