Since itsannouncement in July 2002, TrackWell's My Child Tracker has created impressive response from major media sources. With child security uppermost in every parent's mind the launch of this simple and cost effective system onto the UK market has inspired a cross section of high level media interest. My Child Tracker is a discreet way for Parents to track their child's movements via their mobile phone from an office or home PC, PDA or mobile phone. With a simple request parent can see exactly the child's location, either as a circle on a map on a web site or as a text message sent to the parents' mobile phone depending on the user interface. Since July My Child Tracker has been featured in The Times for which the product was tested by a journalist and his teenage son and also in The Guardian. One of the country's largest Regional newspapers, The Yorkshire Post also featured the product and radio interviews with BBC Berkshire and Newbury's own local commercial radio station Kick FM, BBC Radio 5 Live and BBC Radio Berkshire have also taken place. The BBC TV regional news programme BBC TV South, approached TrackWell and a tracking test was set up for them and filmed using a local family in the Newbury area, the piece was shown on the Lunchtime and Evening Regional News. Following this the ITV regionally based station Meridian TV has also approached TrackWell and an interview will be shown on the regional ITV News programme early in September. There has also been trade coverage in publications such as What Cellphone and Mobile Business.
