The Icelandic President visits TrackWell

The President of Iceland, Mr. Ólafur Ragnar Grímsson visited TrackWell today and acquainted himself with the business operation. As the pictures illustrate, the president was in no hurry when he spoke with employees and inquired about ongoing projects, product development and marketing strategies.

In a meeting with the board of directors, Jón Ingi Björnsson TrackWell’s CEO presented the company, its current status and future vision. Ólafur Ragnar Grímsson expressed his interest in assisting companies who are exporting Icelandic products and Icelandic know-how.

Frumtak an investment fund recently invested 100mil IKR in TrackWell which makes it possible for the company to increase efforts in product development and enables TrackWell to pursue interesting opportunities in new markets.
TrackWell has been very successful with its web based service called TrackWell Mobile Resource Management (MRM) that includes business processes to administer and manage resources. The solution is comprised of three main modules: TrackWell Timon, TrackWell Fleet and TrackWell ERS/VMS.

TrackWell Fleet for fleet management is getting great reviews by users who state that the tool is essential for cutting costs and enhancing service. One of the “coolest” features in the TrackWell Fleet system is weather and weather forecast information that can be used to warn drivers if bad weather is ahead etc.

TrackWell ERS for fishing industry won first price for “Best New Product” on the Icelandic Fisheries Exhibition last autumn. In a short time it has become one of the popular Electronic Fishing Logbooks in the world.

Trackwell has sold its products to 19 countries on 5 continents and runs a subsidiary TrackWell ADS in USA.
